March 5, 2016

Paris is a timeless destination that appeals to every traveler. Some of us dream of Paris travel because it is the fashion capital of the world, and it would be a dream come true to spot one of our style icons, favorite designers, or magazine editors out and about at the hottest spots in the city

Considering how vast the options are while visiting the City of Lights, we stalked our favorite fashion icons, style mavens, and bloggers to find out where the It List spends their free time. Discover what to eat, see, and do during your trip.

The second best thing about Paris travel (assuming that fashion comes in first on your list) is the food. From Asian Fusion to traditional French cuisine, you’ll probably eat some of the best food you’v ever tasted. Here are our picks for eating out between shows that are frequented by fashion week veterans.

1. L’Avenue Restaurant– where Saks Fifth Ave. hosted an A-List dinner party during Paris Fashion Week 2016

2. Le Cafe Marly – where you’ll definitely run into at least one group of fashion influencers

3. Philou– owned and operated by blogger Jeanne Damas’ father and a perfect spot for Traditional French cuisine

4. Caviar Kaspia – Sofia Sanchez Barrenechea suggests this restaurant for a late night bite.
5. Kunitoraya 2 – Caroline de Maigret‘s recommendation, this restaurant is a traditional French brasserie taken over by a Japanese chef

Sightseeing during Paris travel is something you simply cannot do in one day. There are so many beautiful things to see. If you’re pressed for time and have to keep leisure time cut short, these are our recommendations for the absolute MUST-sees.

1. Place de la Concorde

Bryanboy and street style star Veronika Heilbrunner have been spotted taking in the view by the ferris wheel.

2. Le Royal Monceau

Swing by this lovely hotel for happy hour at the bar. Keep an eye out for Olivia Palermo – it’s her favorite Paris hotel and she had a blast celebrating her birthdayhere!

3. Musee des Arts Decoratifs

Browse the collection of decorative art and design, one of Lauren Santo Domingo‘s favorite museums.

4. Montmartre
Follow Paris It Girl Alma Jodorowsky‘s lead and spend time exploring this highly esteemed hill in Paris’ 18th arrondissement.

5. Jardin du Palais Royal

Street Style photographer Tamu McPherson goes back after the Isabel Marant show during PFW to explore and take beautiful pictures. We suggest you do the same. It’s the perfect backdrop for tha #ootd pic you’ll want to post on Instagram.

Finally, a few more activities to add to your itinerary…

1. A photo at Pont Alexandre III
Charlotte Groeneveld of The Fashion Guitar already got hers.

2. The Louvre
Everyone was there to see Dior’s breathtaking show during fashion week, but now you must return to take in the art. Boasting the largest collection in the world, this is a museum you’ll want to stroll through slowly.

3. Shopping

Yes, you’re in Paris and the shopping options are endless. Where do you start?? Here are a few suggestions from local Parisian women like Sofia Sanchez Barrenechea, Lauren Santo Domingo, and others who inspire style envy.

Thomsen: for your next #ootd

Muriel Grateau: for extravagant gifts

Merci: for eye candy and accessories

Port de Clignancourt Flea Market: for vintage finds

4. Take a break

Square Maurice-Gardette is a peaceful square hidden within the city, only known by locals who aim to avoid busy parks like the Champ de Mars. Find a bench or bring a blanket to sit on and enjoy the flowers, fresh air, and silence.

5. Pamper yourself

Head to Jean Pierre Esthetique, where “The best facials in Paris” are given on a daily basis.

Enjoy your leisure time while in Paris, fashion friends! Don’t forget to browse orders on Grabr – you’ll be able to earn back some of that money spent on food and shoes by delivering an item to someone who wants to shop the Paris market.

Want to shop other fashion capitals like New York, London, or Milan? Order stylish goods using Grabr. You’ll be connected with a traveler who can bring your desired item to you.
