How Grabr brought my camera back to life
Grabr Stories feature real Grabr shoppers and travelers, sharing their magical moments when connecting with others around the world. Sharing stories brings people and their experiences to life!
Ever since I was young, I had a passion for photography. For me, it’s about more than just capturing memories, it’s my artistic expression. And this art form becomes the most genuine, the most raw, with instant photography. No Photoshop, no edits, just pure spontaneity and soul.

For years, my beloved Polaroid camera languished in a closet because the company stopped making instant film. Millions of Polaroid cameras suffered the same fate. ☹ Then one day, a Dutch company called The Impossible Project restored a Polaroid factory and started making instant film again!
There was only one problem. There was no easy way to buy it outside of Europe and the US. That’s where Grabr really saved the day. I ordered several packs of film and my Grabr traveler Rachel brought it for me all the way from the US. My Polaroid camera could finally be brought back to life!
A few months after I started using my Polaroid camera again, I went to the concert of this amazing singer Juana Molina. I asked if I could take some candid pictures of her. She was surprised by the idea and agreed. Something about Polaroids must have struck a chord because Billboard magazine ended up liking the photos and actually published them!
If there’s something you love, but you can’t find the right product or best prices where you live, you can try Grabr to buy abroad too.
All I do is publish my orders and travelers going to my city make offers to deliver them. I receive my orders and they earn money for helping me, so in the end everyone wins. 🙂
